Prescription Refill Policy
To clarify our office policy, refill limits depend on the type of medication you are prescribed and whether your condition is stable. The guidelines below apply to patients who are established and stable on their current treatment.
Refill Limits
Oral and Injectable Medications
Patients stable on oral and injectable medications have a maximum six-month refill limit.
Topical Medications
Topical medications have a twelve-month refill limit.
When More Frequent Follow-Ups Are Needed
More frequent follow-ups are only required for new or unstable conditions, or when there is a change in medication or dosage. If your condition is stable and your treatment has not changed, the refill limits above apply.
Missed or Cancelled Appointments
If a patient misses or cancels a scheduled appointment and requests a refill, a one-time courtesy bridge refill will be provided on a case-by-case basis.
